I know we are not meant to always love the characters we read about, but I was eye rolling many times. The school year begins, with Noah joining Claire's class after hacking into her computer, making it appear as if she had requested this. This totally took my breath away and from start to finish I was totally lost in this book and the desire to know the truth. That excerpt was simply a fun 'comic' release!!! Another fabulous five stars for a compelling, well written and suspenseful book that I highly recommend to mystery crime readers young and old! Imagine also the myriad of emotions you'd experience. That means the baby is going to be alone. I really think Anne deserved a bit of happiness in the end and I wished Marco could've suffered some fate.
Imagine the horror of discovering your 6 month old baby has been abducted from her crib in the early hours of the morning. In all the shots, from steamy, passionate lovemaking to being scared to death, these two are naturals. She has some wine but even that doesn't help. For a lot of you speedy readers, I imagine you could read this book in one day or want to--I wanted to. I kept turning pages thinking that it's got to turn the corner about now. Cleverly plotted and tensely paced, with many a viable red herring, The Couple Next Door will keep you turning those pages and thinking about things even after the last word has been consumed.
Simply leave their 6 month baby home alone and just take the baby monitor! The story starts strong, but deteriorates as it progresses. Shari Lapena, I hope you're working on your next novel, because I'll be first in line to purchase it! I was hooked the whole way through. Marco talks Anne into leaving their six month Cora alone because they can bring along the baby monitor and check in on her at half hour intervals. But Marco said it would be fine, as it is only next door. I thought with more editing and refined writing this could have been a lot better since the scares had such potential and production quality was good. .

Siddharth as a medical prodigy is a treat to watch on screen, and walking shoulder-to-shoulder with him is Andrea Jeremiah. However, reading this book was at times like playing thriller bingo. Noah pours kerosene around the barn, causing it to ignite in flames.
